Celebrating 60 Years

April 13, 2017 by Jim Ward, ISA Certified Arborist PD-53
Fran and John Ward thoroughly enjoying retirement.

As we begin our 60th year in business, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people responsible for the success of our family business. We thank our clients for their sincere interest in tree preservation; it is truly a pleasure to work for so many nice people. We thank our employees, who share our values and commitment to deliver the highest quality workmanship. We thank our vendors, who provide behind-the-scenes support to keep us running strong.

Finally, we thank and salute John and Fran Ward, who founded the company in 1957. We honor their values and client commitment philosophy, and put them into action every day as we continuously strive to improve our service to our customers and our community.

In 1957, tree care was performed without chippers or stump cutters, and chainsaw technology was in its infancy. Although our equipment and techniques have changed over the years, our values and fundamental business philosophy have not changed. Often, this philosophy was communicated during family dinner. My dad would say, “Always remember to treat clients in an honest and informed manner” and “If you perform quality, honest, and detailed work, you will always have work.” These work values are forged into the culture of John B. Ward & Co.

We are energized to begin our 60th year in business and look forward to seeing you to review the care of your trees and shrubs. Thank you for your continued support of our company. We will always strive to deliver the highest level of professional tree care services.
