As we enter 2022, I reflect on our company which my father, John B. Ward, started in 1957. Times change and things evolve, but the basic principles on which he founded the business remain steadfast. Treat clients honestly. Always do the best work possible. Treat co-workers with respect and understanding. Sixty-five years later, those simple rules still hold true.
The success and longevity of a company are not brought about by one person. A strong company requires a strong team, and we are fortunate to have great people on our team. From our top climber to our office staff, we are blessed to have dedicated people who strive for excellence. My father’s words continue to resonate with all of us as we do our utmost to be the best and perform the best work possible.
Our company is fortunate to have great clients, people who care deeply for their trees and have a genuine interest in tree preservation. Our goal is to develop a long-term relationship with every client, and every member of our team understands the importance of this. We value each interaction, from the initial phone call to set up an appointment, to the completion of the job. Serving people who enjoy their trees as much as we do is very fulfilling and inspires us every day.
We move into our 65th year with excitement and the anticipation of continuing to work with our valued clients as we perform essential work on beautiful trees. I am thankful to have been able to do what I love for almost 40 years and to have both of my sons working with me. It makes their grandfather – now 90 years old and enjoying life in Bryn Mawr – enormously proud. Thank you to all our clients who trust us every day to take care of their trees. We will always try our best.
