“Our expectations are really high.”

When we arrive at a client’s house to prune a large tree, our expectations are really high. We are prepared to perform a first-class job.

The process begins with a client meeting to identify our goals and objectives. Sometimes the client asks us to “prune the tree as if it was our own;” other clients will have goals such as wanting to grow a healthy lawn under a tree or wanting additional sunlight to reach a pool area.

We consider several factors in developing a pruning plan including the species, age and general health of the tree. Often, we identify exactly which limbs will be removed – balancing the goals of the client and the long-term health of the tree. By the end of our meeting, the pruning plan is created.

The next step is to implement the plan, which is executed by a team of experts. It takes years to obtain the climbing experience necessary to prune large trees. Climbers must have the skill to climb to all areas of a tree and the knowledge to decide what limbs should be removed or reduced while maintaining the natural look and long-term health of the tree. Often, limbs must be controlled with ropes and guided safely to the ground.
